Partnering with Schools

Impactful ways to support schools, pupils and staff include:

School Workshops

These workshops are designed for pupils aged 7-11 years old, providing strategies to help them cope with the changes in preadolescence, for example how to manage emotions while building resilience and confidence, and developing healthy friendships.

As a teacher of over 20 years, I am passionate about helping girls thrive by engaging with them from a unique perspective on the multitude of pressures they may face at school, at home, and with peers.

Workshops for Pupils include topics such as:

Building Healthy Friendships

This workshop addresses the new dynamics that inevitably form within social circles and explores ways to foster increased self-awareness to maintain healthy relationships. Pupils will learn practical strategies to navigate social changes, understand the qualities of a healthy friendship, and build stronger, more supportive connections.

Empathy and Kindness: What do they look like?

Through targeted activities on building new perspectives, we encourage pupils to cultivate kindness through acts of compassion and generosity towards themselves and others, and to treat people with respect. Pupils will learn how to practise empathy and kindness in their daily lives, enhancing their relationships and overall well-being.

Transition Workshops for pupils changing schools

Designed to help young adolescent girls address key concerns and areas of change as they move into secondary school, this workshop provides practical tools to manage transitions. We will cover strategies for coping with change, building resilience, and maintaining well-being during this critical period. Pupils will leave with a toolkit to help them navigate their new environment with confidence.

Building Confidence

Enhancing pupils' understanding on what it means to be confident. We will explore the strengths and unique qualities young girls can draw on to develop self-confidence. Through interactive activities, we aim to empower girls to believe in themselves and their abilities.

Finding Tween Years Tricky? Tween wellness workshop using empathy and resilience

This session focuses on using empathy and resilience to navigate the challenges of pre-adolescence. Pupils will achieve a better understanding of resilience and learn how to develop a mindset that equips them to face life's challenges. Through engaging activities, we build the emotional strength needed to thrive during the tween years.

Webinars and Presentations  for Parents and Carers

Elevate.RA offers workshops, presentations and webinars for the parent body at your school. We take the school’s vision in supporting them with raising their children in an increasingly complex landscape. These sessions address methods for sustaining an open and safe line of communication with children and ways to navigate change with young pre-adolescent girls.

Some of the topics covered within our talks include:

Making middle years more manageable

This workshop is designed to equip parents with the knowledge and tools to support their children through the challenging middle school years. We will explore strategies to help manage academic pressures and social dynamics. The session will also address common issues such as stress, peer pressure, and self-esteem, providing practical advice on how to empower their children to thrive during these pivotal years.

How we can help our tweens build resilience

Emphasis here is on how to foster coping strategies in their tweens, and help them build emotional strength to handle life’s challenges. Through interactive discussions, we will provide techniques for overcoming setbacks, managing emotions, and maintaining a positive outlook. This session aims to equip parents with the tools to nurture resilience in their children, helping them navigate the ups and downs of growing up.

Navigating times of Change with Tweens

This workshop addresses the various changes that tweens experience, both physically and emotionally. We will cover topics such as puberty, changing social circles, and evolving family dynamics. Parents will gain a better understanding of these changes and learn strategies to help their children cope with uncertainty and transition. The session will provide practical advice for maintaining stability and confidence during times of change, ensuring that tweens feel supported and empowered.

Healthy Friendships and Conflict resolution

The focus here lies on identifying the qualities of a good friend, how to help their children establish and respect boundaries, and effective communication skills. We will also cover conflict resolution techniques, teaching parents how to guide their children in handling disagreements and navigating social conflicts constructively. This session aims to provide parents with the knowledge and skills to foster positive relationships.

Mentorship Opportunities

We also provide one to one mentorship opportunities for girls (optional). As a teacher who specialises in SEN, I work with many girls with additional support needs on a 1-1 basis.

As a teacher of 20 years, and author of the book Girl Elevated, I understand the importance of equipping our students with the necessary skills to navigate the complexities of life beyond the classroom. In today’s fast-paced and ever-evolving world, young girls are navigating a complex landscape with a myriad of challenges.

I designed the Elevate.RA Scheme of Work specifically for girls ages 8-11, to help them navigate these challenges by focusing on 5 important skills, which we call the 5 superpowers:

By incorporating the Elevate.RA Scheme of Work into your school's curriculum, we can empower our students to become confident, adaptable, and resilient girls ready to tackle the challenges of the future.

For schools in the UK, the Elevate.RA Scheme of Work is a specialised programme uniquely positioned to help schools meet new ISI inspection criteria on student mental health and wellbeing. By incorporating our programme into your curriculum, your school can fulfil these requirements whilst providing your students with invaluable life skills that will benefit them both inside and outside the classroom.

“Elevate works well as a scheme to follow but has also been a great tool to dip into to enhance our PSHE curriculum.”
